Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting our overall company accounting functions, working closely with our Director of Finance to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with our monthly close schedule.
  • Monitor and review the team's progress in completing month-end close procedures.
  • Review and approve physical inventory reconciliations and develop and maintain processes for RBS3 Physical inventory review and generation.
  • Perform peer reviews of account reconciliations and participate in the training of new and current team members.
  • Facilitate and complete month-end close procedures, assist in analyzing financial statements and reports on variances, and identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Assist in developing budgets, provide support before and during audits, and prepare and enter journal entries.
  • Partner with business units on projects and specific initiatives, operate in compliance with all local, state, and Federal laws, as well as Company policy and compliance standards.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years' experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and logical analysis statements to aid in analyzing data.
  • Microsoft Navision, Sycle, and Cognos experience preferred.
  • Hearing healthcare and multi-unit retail industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to motivate and influence others and work in a changing environment.
  • Proven ability and skill in managing operations, including staff and budgets.
  • Strong sense of client service and team player who can foster teamwork and consensus with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communicator with excellent proven interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Excellent financial and general analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of accepted accounting rules, practices, laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to obtain necessary financial information from non-financial individuals.
  • Ability to document processes and procedures.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple, concurrent projects.
