Role Responsibilities:
As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking meals following established recipes for residents, guests, and staff. Your attention to detail will ensure that every meal meets our high standards, providing a delightful dining experience for our residents.
Your Duties Include:
- Ensuring cleanliness of kitchen equipment and serving areas.
- Organizing cooking schedules to guarantee timely meal service.
- Maintaining product quality through regular temperature checks and taste tests.
- Setting up food in serving areas and replenishing as necessary.
- Monitoring portion sizes during preparation and serving.
- Checking perishable items in storage and utilizing them appropriately.
- Performing additional related tasks as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile: You possess excellent customer service skills and demonstrate flexibility, compassion, and reliability. Experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care settings is advantageous, but all applicants are welcome to apply.
Required Qualifications:
- One to two years of experience in institutional or restaurant settings.
- Strong communication skills with colleagues, residents, and families.
- Ability to address inquiries or concerns from various sources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic math skills for routine calculations.
- Capacity to make straightforward decisions that impact the immediate department.
