Position Summary

The Lead Technician position is a key role in our organization, requiring a high level of technical expertise and leadership skills. As a Lead Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems, mentoring and training junior technicians, and driving customer satisfaction.

Our technicians enjoy a performance-based compensation model known as flat-rate pay, which rewards them with a predetermined amount for each eligible task. This system fosters a culture of efficiency and swift task accomplishment, ensuring our skilled professionals are fairly rewarded for their expertise and dedication.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive systems, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
  • Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals in a clear and concise manner.
  • Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
  • Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
  • Maintain a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
  • Meet the minimum 5 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field, or demonstrated skills via third-party certificates/assessment.
  • Achieve A.S.E. certification in at least 5 (five) of A1-A8 (L1 can be one of the five) within 2 years of employment.
  • Maintain Federal, State, and Local certification/license where applicable.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical people effectively.
  • Read, write, and perform basic math skills.
