Heavy Equipment Technician

Job Summary:
Forklift Systems is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our Material Handling Equipment, Lift Trucks, Aerial Equipment, and Floor Scrubbers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Perform routine and special inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition
- Conduct preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to schedule and established procedures
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
- Document all preventive and corrective maintenance in repair logs
- Account for all parts, materials, tools, and consumables used
- Drive and work safely in accordance with company and/or customer safety rules and procedures
Requirements:
- Two years of experience in a related field, including lift truck manufacturers, automotive, or recent trade school graduates with applied skills
- Working knowledge of hydraulics preferred
- Valid Driver's License (clear motor vehicle record)
- Must pass a physical, background, and drug screening
