The Fountain Group is seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team in a prominent client's facility in North Chicago, IL. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for performing production activities in a clean room environment using sophisticated equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform production activities in a clean room environment using sophisticated equipment.
- Inspect parts or products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Set up and monitor equipment at a basic level.
- Read, follow, and maintain accurate records of production activities.
- Maintain records according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) if required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals.
- Follow directions, both written and oral, to execute tasks accurately.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge/aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Associate Degree in Natural Sciences or Chemistry preferred.
- Successful completion of a physical examination and respirator fit test.
- Ability to follow directions (written and oral) and work individually or as part of a team.
- Strong mechanical knowledge/aptitude, demonstrated through experience or personal interest (e.g., working on cars, fixing things at home).
- Attention to detail and the ability to accurately document work performed.
- Reliable, hardworking, with good attendance record.
- Curiosity and a desire to learn more about the chemical process and the business.
- Personal integrity and commitment to maintaining a high standard of work.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work well with others.
What We Offer:
The Fountain Group offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $35-37 per hour, depending on shift and experience. We also provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and a safe working environment.
