Position Overview:

Solar Alternatives is seeking a skilled Solar Installer to join our team. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for the repair and modification of existing energy systems, troubleshooting and diagnosis, and upselling additional services. Our systems serviced include solar energy, electrical service, and micro grids.

We provide advanced training in new technologies and offer growth and certification opportunities. This is a great opportunity to turn your construction experience toward a new career in clean energy.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of construction-related experience
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Well-spoken, clean appearance, and good client manners
  • Ability to ascend tall ladders and work on steep rooftops
  • Clean driving record, valid license, and ability to drive small and large service vehicles
  • Drug-free, willing to consent to a background check
  • Own and maintain personal electrical hand tools and basic cordless tools
  • Ability to work 40-50 daytime hours per week
  • Sales ability a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Electrical/Roofing/Solar/Engineering training or education
  • Solar/NABCEP/electrical certification
  • OSHA 10 hour or other safety certification
  • Field service software familiarity

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary starts at $20-25/hr based on qualifications, plus opportunities for sales bonuses. Benefits include majority-paid medical, dental, vision, and matching 401K program. Earned paid time off starts at two weeks annually.
