About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Front End Loader Operator and Hillman to join our team at Petticoat-Schmitt Civil Contractors Inc. As a key member of our pipe crew, you will be responsible for operating a front end loader and assisting with pipelaying operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a front end loader to transport materials and equipment to the job site.
  • Assist the tailman and pipelayer with pipe installation and maintenance.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for use in pipelaying operations.
  • Work safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
  • At least 6 months experience working as a Front End Loader Operator and working with a pipe crew.
  • Must have own hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety vest, and orange shirt.
  • Experience working with large-diameter pipes in commercial construction.
  • Must be willing and able to climb in and out of trenches and work 20 to 30' down in hole.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to commute within a 50-mile radius around Jacksonville and surrounding areas.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check.
