About the JobThis role will provide general legal services to one or more assigned CommonSpirit Operating Regions, working independently or under the supervision of senior Legal Team attorneys. The primary responsibility will be for the Kentucky markets.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform Direct Legal Services: Preparation, review, and revision of complex agreements; performance of legal research; provision of legal counsel and guidance related to health care operational issues.
- Assist Senior Attorneys: Preparation of legal analyses and recommendations, development of preliminary legal documents, and provision of support for legal operations projects.
- Provide Sound Legal Advice: To assigned Operating Region staff and management, boards and committees, and other members of the Legal Team.
- Actively Engage with Other Legal Team Members: For effective delivery of health care legal operations services across the enterprise.
- Supervise Support Staff: Paralegals, executive assistants, and other Legal Team support staff as applicable.
- Juris Doctor Degree: From a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
- Health Law Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in performing general, operational, or specialty legal services for hospitals, health systems, or integrated delivery systems.
- Licensure: Active State Bar licensure, registration as in-house counsel, or equivalent acceptable status for state of primary work location.
