Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at Dental Care Alliance. This role is essential in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a high level of satisfaction within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of clinical tasks that are integral to the smooth operation of our dental practice. These responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of Treatment Areas: Set up the treatment room in accordance with established protocols.
  • Patient Engagement: Greet and prepare patients for their dental procedures, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
  • Communication: Address inquiries from patients and staff, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Instrument Management: Ensure the availability of sterilized instruments and assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments and managing suction.
  • Material Handling: Select, mix, and apply dental materials as required during treatments.
  • Diagnostic Support: Assist in the acquisition and processing of radiographic images and prepare study casts.
  • Patient Care: Maintain patient comfort by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning dental appliances.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Support the dentist in managing dental emergencies by maintaining necessary certifications and supplies.
  • Patient Education: Provide guidance on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document all dental services in patient records.
  • Confidentiality: Uphold patient confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
  • Workplace Safety: Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Infection Control: Follow strict infection control protocols to safeguard patients and staff.
  • Resource Management: Utilize dental supplies efficiently to minimize waste.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with industry knowledge through workshops and professional networks.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to team objectives and assist colleagues as needed.
Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • X-ray certification
  • Prior experience as a Clinical Support Specialist or completion of a formal training program in dental assisting.
