Safety and Teamwork are Key to Success at BURNCO Rock Products Ltd.

We are seeking an experienced Mixer Driver to join our Firestone Ready Mix division.

As a Mixer Driver, you will be responsible for operating a ready-mix truck in urban areas and tight construction sites.

Responsibilities:

\u2022 Operate a ready-mix truck safely and efficiently
\u2022 Perform routine equipment maintenance
\u2022 Contribute to keeping locations in and around the plant clean and hazardous-free
\u2022 Understand and foster a safety culture
\u2022 Safely drive and obey all traffic laws

Requirements:

\u2022 Class B CDL (with air brake endorsement)
\u2022 Clean driver's abstract and record
\u2022 Concrete mixer truck experience considered an asset
\u2022 Understanding of the concrete products
\u2022 Standard or manual transmission experience
\u2022 Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and be available on short notice

Physical Requirements:

\u2022 The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
\u2022 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly outside and exposed to various weather conditions, including hot/cold temperatures and rain/snow conditions.
\u2022 Employee constantly uses eye/hand coordination and near/far vision.
\u2022 Employee frequently stands, walks, sits, climbs, bends, reaches, lifts to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs, utilizes manual dexterity, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, color discernment, and requires active hearing/listening.
\u2022 Employee is exposed to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, fumes, and aggregate materials.
\u2022 Required PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hats.
