Job Overview:
The Infection Control Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that all medical and laboratory instruments are thoroughly and safely sanitized.

In this position, you will oversee the sterilization processes for all tools and materials utilized within our facilities, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and complies with established safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare instruments and materials for the sterilization process.
  • Operate and supervise sterilization equipment to guarantee effective sanitation.
  • Monitor sterilization cycles to confirm the safety and efficacy of the equipment.
  • Document and maintain records of sterilizer performance and related activities.
  • Inspect and verify that all sterilized instruments meet the required sterility standards.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on sterilization equipment.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble instruments according to standard operating procedures.
  • Manage sterilization supply inventory and prepare materials for sterilization.
  • Track expiration dates on supplies to ensure compliance.
  • Complete necessary documentation related to sterilization processes.
  • Uphold quality assurance measures and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist with various tasks as assigned, including supporting clinical staff.

Work Schedule:
Monday – Wednesday: 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday: 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM
Two Saturdays per month
