We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Lead Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of work, delegating tasks, and guiding staff in carrying out their duties. You will also be responsible for ensuring that prescribed diagnostic procedures are performed according to department standards.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the flow of work and delegate tasks to staff members
- Guide staff in carrying out their duties and ensure that department standards are met
- Monitor the quantity and quality of work flow to ensure work is completed efficiently
- Recommend personnel actions, including performance appraisals and hiring decisions
- Assist with monitoring performance improvement plans and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARMDS) or registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S)
- Abdomen and OB Registry required
- Two or more years progressively more responsible Ultrasound Technologist work experience
- Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training required
