About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Student Health Center. This is a full-time, 10-month appointment with excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary care to ambulatory patients, including obtaining extensive health histories and performing comprehensive physicals.
- Evaluate workers compensation injuries and prepare applicable paperwork.
- Perform women's health exams, including Pap Smear, and minor surgical procedures.
- Make medical diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic lab tests, x-rays, and imaging.
- Furnish prescriptive medications.
- Maintain knowledge and skills at a current and optimal level, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
- Participate in regular Health Center staff meetings and contribute to strategic planning and assessment of Learning Outcomes for the Student Health Center.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid California license as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Furnishing License.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this role is $82,013.85 to $94,316.43. APU offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
