Role Objective

At The Cookie Place, Inc., the Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager with the comprehensive management of the cookie retail establishment. This position is dedicated to overseeing daily operations while fostering an enjoyable atmosphere for customers, ensuring they return frequently.

Scope of Responsibilities

This role reports directly to the Store Manager at a designated location. The Retail Operations Supervisor is accountable for managing their specific shifts, supervising shift leaders, decorators, and team members. Additionally, they focus on driving sales growth, adhering to company standards, and providing outstanding customer service aligned with the values of The Cookie Place, Inc.


Key Responsibilities

In alignment with The Cookie Place, Inc.'s policies and procedures, the primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operational and Financial Oversight

  • Support the Store Manager in enhancing sales and profitability within the store, with total sales responsibilities ranging from $350,000 to $1,000,000.
  • Propose strategies to promote the store effectively.
  • Ensure the achievement of operational and customer service goals as per The Cookie Place, Inc. standards.
  • Oversee all cash management processes within the store, including deposit preparations.
  • Prepare ingredients for baking and decoration tasks.
  • Operate baking equipment and ensure compliance with standard baking procedures.
  • Decorate cookies and cakes using various templates and designs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and preparation areas.

Team Leadership

  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of store staff.
  • Guide and mentor team members to achieve operational objectives.
  • Engage with customers to create a memorable experience.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to address employee performance issues promptly and effectively, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Manage cash register operations and uphold cash handling protocols.

Administrative Duties

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Perform necessary paperwork and administrative tasks.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all standards set by The Cookie Place, Inc.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in retail or food service management.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service roles.
  • 1-2 years of experience in cake decoration.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Must demonstrate teamwork and collaboration.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
