Job Summary


A City Records Specialist processes and issues various permits to residents and business owners in accordance with City, State, and building codes and regulations. This is a non-supervisory role, where the primary focus is on performing technical work.



About the Role


This position involves working with various stakeholders, including city residents, business owners, and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.



Responsibilities


The City Records Specialist will be responsible for:



  • Processing and issuing permits in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensuring compliance with City, State, and building codes and regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service to residents and business owners
  • Collaborating with regulatory bodies to resolve permit-related issues
  • Staying up-to-date with changes to regulations and codes


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


What We Offer


The City of Baltimore Maryland offers a competitive salary, with an estimated range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
