Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures
  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of surgical equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and supplies
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Completion of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist
  • One year of experience in perioperative services
  • Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
