Job Summary:The Ambulatory Care Nurse will be responsible for coordinating, integrating, and communicating nursing practice and clinical policies and procedures. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop patient-centered plans of care and provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
- Collect patient health history
- Record information in electronic health record
- Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans
- Administer medications and provide comprehensive wound care
- Assess and monitor patient responses to various treatments and procedures
- Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans for patients
- Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and technicians as needed
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (highly preferred) or Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing with plans to earn a baccalaureate degree
- Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York
- Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
- Fluent written and spoken English language skills
- ACLS certification
- Membership in pertinent professional organizations
