Natural Gas Meter Specialist
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
Overtime as needed
$18.00/hour

Position Overview:
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of gas metering systems.

  • Deliver exceptional service for residential and commercial meter installations, equipment, and facilities related to natural gas.
  • Conduct installations and maintenance of meters and regulators, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Perform upkeep on Encoder Receiver Transmitter (ERT) meters.
  • Manage the discontinuation of gas services as required.
  • Execute meter readings and handle non-payment service interruptions when assigned.
  • Complete all necessary documentation in a clear, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Safely utilize and maintain all work-related tools and equipment.
  • Ensure adequate supplies and maintain company vehicles in good condition.
  • Foster positive public relations and uphold safety standards.
  • Engage effectively with customers to address their needs.
  • Operate hot change equipment or hot change vehicles as necessary.
  • Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal regulations in the execution of duties.
  • Meet established performance standards for quality and quantity of work.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for this role.

Special Requirements:
  • Willingness to work overtime when requested.
  • Must wear a complete company-issued uniform.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment as conditions dictate.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Potential exposure to natural gas during job functions.
  • Completion of all mandatory training is required.
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures is necessary.
  • Proficiency in computer usage is essential.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
