Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities aimed at installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. This is executed in accordance with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems to meet the organization's operational goals.

MAINTENANCE LEAD:

  • Guides fellow maintenance personnel on project priorities.
  • Organizes work schedules and priorities for the maintenance team.
  • Procures necessary parts and materials to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Evaluates and negotiates with suppliers.
  • Manages facility and equipment upgrades and repairs with specialized contractors.
  • Plans, prioritizes, and oversees projects to completion.
  • Schedules and verifies the completion of preventive maintenance for all machinery.
  • Maintains accurate records of equipment operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Identifies and implements more efficient operational procedures to enhance safety and productivity.
  • Collaborates closely with Environmental Health & Safety personnel.
  • Trains other technicians and staff on equipment operations and safety measures.
  • Ensures compliance with safety audits and procedures.
  • Performs all essential functions of a Facilities Maintenance Specialist.

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST:

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Execute a variety of tasks to install and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Provide emergency repairs for production equipment and conduct scheduled maintenance.
  • Apply mechanical skills including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics for maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose issues, replace or repair components, and perform necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain organized workspaces.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Construct and install various equipment and fixtures.
  • Assist with additional projects as directed by Maintenance Leaders.
  • Availability for weekend and overtime work as required.
  • Openness to learning new skills through training and hands-on experience.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
