We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Radiation Oncology team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a Radiation Oncology Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and providing exceptional support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to patients receiving radiation therapy, including external beam radiation and internal radiation sources.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans related to radiation oncology care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on radiation treatments and side effects, as well as provide emotional support and guidance.
- Monitor and record patient conditions, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
- 1 year of oncology or radiation oncology nursing experience in a clinic and/or acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
- Current certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
