Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Staff Leader to join our team in the Adult Emergency Department. As a Clinical Staff Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and leading a team of registered nurses to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of registered nurses to provide clinical patient care and ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Review staffing based on patient acuity and patient needs, and assess nursing service needs relative to the needs of patients within the unit
  • Recommend corrective actions when necessary to ensure the quality of patient care delivery
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Nursing required
  • Two (2) years clinical experience required
  • Progressive leadership experience required
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
  • AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period
