About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Process Technician to join Hawkins, Inc. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain industrial equipment and processes, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Handle, store, and transport chemical materials, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Monitor and control continuous and batch processes, making adjustments as needed to meet quality and production standards.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Accurately record and report operating data, test results, and other relevant information.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on process equipment and instrumentation.
  • Apply product quality and safety standards, reporting any incidents or concerns to supervisors or management.
  • Work independently, adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to housekeeping standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

About You

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a chemical operator or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to safely operate an industrial fork truck.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical information.
  • Ability to comply with mandatory training and participate in the Emergency Response Team.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain 24 Hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office required; prior MRP or ERP experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, reaching, and pulling.
  • Ability to climb and work at heights using stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and operate industrial equipment safely.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, cold, noisy, dusty, and wet environments.
  • Ability to work around chemicals and industrial machinery.
