Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our pharmacy, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships with patients.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision. You will be responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and assisting with clinical services such as blood and urine sample collection and labeling.

You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment, and assisting with inventory management activities such as ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain knowledge of company asset protection techniques and file claims for warehouse overages, shortages, and damaged goods.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision
  • Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
  • Assist with clinical services such as blood and urine sample collection and labeling
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment
  • Assist with inventory management activities such as ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals

Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens
  • Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately
  • Prefer good computer skills
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control
  • Prefer PTCB certification
