Job Title: Firefighter Paramedic

Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to fill the role of Firefighter Paramedic. As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical care and transportation to patients, and participating in fire prevention and suppression activities.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care and transportation to patients
  • Participate in fire prevention and suppression activities
  • Operate emergency vehicles and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment and vehicles
  • Participate in training and professional development activities
Requirements
  • Washington State or National Registry Paramedic certification
  • Current CPAT certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Certified to wear a respirator at SCBA level
  • IFSAC Firefighter I and II certification within six (6) months of successfully completing Fire Academy
  • IFSAC Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations certification within the first year of employment
  • Wildland Firefighter II certification within one (1) year of successfully completing Fire Academy
  • Washington State Emergency Vehicle Incident Prevention (EVIP) certification within two (2) years of hire date
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fire Science or Fire Administration
  • Prior experience as a firefighter or emergency medical technician
  • IFSAC Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations certifications
  • Wildland Firefighter II certification
  • Washington State Emergency Vehicle Incident Prevention (EVIP) certification
