Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Janitorial Services Specialist. This role will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facility and vehicles, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks and coordinating with external vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness of corps buildings, including offices, restrooms, classrooms, chapel, kitchen, multipurpose room, and food pantry.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and repair of vehicles.
  • Conduct facility and equipment repairs.
  • Coordinate with maintenance vendors and complete internal approval processes as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies and maintenance equipment.
  • Setup and prepare rooms for program usage.
  • Collect, load, and unload food donations and equipment/supplies.
  • Institute the Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
  • Assist the Corps Officer in recruiting and training an Emergency Disaster Team.
  • Ensure the canteen is always ready to deploy mechanically sound and with all necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with Seasonal fundraising, distributions, and other programs as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability to speak and write the English language at a moderate level.
  • Minimum one (1) year of maintenance and/or janitorial service preferred.
  • Ability to maintain the highest standard of hygiene.
  • Strong ability to utilize a high level of time management and handle multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, and/or pull objects.
  • Ability to reach overhead.
  • Ability to operate the telephone.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to process written, visual, and/or verbal information.
