We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Methodist Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

About the Role:

This position will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the Emergency Department during designated shifts.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other members of the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

This individual will also serve as a resource person for staff and model a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Support facility efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, including development and implementation of training programs.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor needs in accordance with patient care requirements and productivity guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate's Degree with 3+ years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Certifications such as CEN, CNL, or CAPA preferred but not required.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification also required.
