Job Description:
The Medical Social Worker is responsible for providing medical social work services to patients, caregivers, staff, community agencies, and the organization. This role involves implementing, providing, evaluating, and enhancing social work services delivered to the customer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social work principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide medical social work services to patients, caregivers, staff, community agencies, and the organization
- Implement, provide, evaluate, and enhance social work services delivered to the customer
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to ensure access to resources and services
Requirements:
- BSW from an accredited School of Social Work or educational equivalent
- Training in the medical setting and/or certification as a social worker preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
