Trillium Staffing is seeking a skilled Mechanical Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Mechanical Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of electric motors by inspecting and testing their components.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect electric motor parts for defects and anomalies, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Perform incoming measurements and documentation on electric motor parts following teardown.
- Verify incoming shaft runouts using precision measuring tools.
- Assist with writing final inspection work scope and reports for quoting purposes.
- Participate in motor teardown and rebuild or rotating equipment maintenance as needed.
- Follow daily scheduled tasks prioritized by the Production Manager.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance or inspection.
- Ability to perform precision measurements to ensure tolerance specifications are met.
- Understanding of blueprints and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, bore gages, etc.
- Experience writing technical reports documenting failure modes.
- Basic operating skills of manual lathes and milling machines.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and protocols.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
