About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Security Sales Representative to join our team at Koorsen Fire & Security. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling and promoting our security products and systems to customers in the Huntsville, AL area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Marketing: Sell and promote all Koorsen Security products and systems, including intrusion, video surveillance, access control, intercom, and monitoring systems.
  • Quote Development: Work with our engineering and operations teams to develop quotes for customers.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain trusted relationships with current branch customers, electrical and general contractors, and end-user customers.
  • Business Development: Identify security system upgrades, moves, adds, and change opportunities, and cold call facilities for new customer relationships.
  • Product Demonstrations: Coordinate system demos for prospective contractors and customers about our products.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain pipeline data in our sales tracker system.
  • Communication: Interact with customers, vendors, and coworkers professionally.
  • Safety and Compliance: Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices.
  • Continuous Learning: Open-minded willingness for continual learning and professional development.
  • Company Policies: Follow all Koorsen policies, procedures, and core values.
Requirements
  • Previous Sales Experience: Previous sales experience in security and fire life safety is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license required.
  • Background Checks: Pass drug and background screenings.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic IT Understanding: Basic understanding of IT functionality.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting and Repetitive Motions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform some repetitive motions while using a computer.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises.
