Position Summary

The Team Lead for Museum Operations oversees the daily functions and performance of a dedicated team of 7-10 staff members during their shift. This role is pivotal in ensuring visitor satisfaction, maintaining operational excellence, and addressing any inquiries or concerns that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of 7-10 museum staff members.
  • Allocate staffing positions to fulfill operational requirements and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Achieve daily operational objectives and targets.
  • Facilitate training and onboarding for new employees.
  • Monitor guest and staff satisfaction by being actively present on the museum floor.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to team members as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to museum policies and procedures by all staff and visitors.
  • Mediate conflicts among team members when required.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing visitor inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the museum during operational hours.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years in a customer-facing role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the arts and entertainment field is advantageous.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Dependable, responsible, and trustworthy.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage time effectively.
