Position Summary
The Team Lead for Museum Operations oversees the daily functions and performance of a dedicated team of 7-10 staff members during their shift. This role is pivotal in ensuring visitor satisfaction, maintaining operational excellence, and addressing any inquiries or concerns that may arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of 7-10 museum staff members.
- Allocate staffing positions to fulfill operational requirements and ensure adequate coverage.
- Achieve daily operational objectives and targets.
- Facilitate training and onboarding for new employees.
- Monitor guest and staff satisfaction by being actively present on the museum floor.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to team members as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to museum policies and procedures by all staff and visitors.
- Mediate conflicts among team members when required.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing visitor inquiries and resolving issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the museum during operational hours.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years in a customer-facing role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the arts and entertainment field is advantageous.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Dependable, responsible, and trustworthy.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage time effectively.
