Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a personal and active relationship with faith, serving as a positive Christian influence in all engagements with youth, staff, supporters, volunteers, and the broader community to uphold the mission of the organization.
  • Dedicate time to pray regularly for the youth, staff, and overall ministry.
  • Participate in staff meetings, including engaging in moments of Christian devotion and prayer. Review meeting notes and acknowledge any missed sessions to remain informed about ministry developments.
  • Guide and mentor the leadership teams of various operational units.

Operational Oversight:
Manage the performance of the organization’s social enterprises, ensuring that financial objectives are achieved or surpassed.

  • Formulate and execute strategies to enhance operational efficiency, boost revenue, and improve the effectiveness of each enterprise.
  • Create and implement long-term strategic plans for each social enterprise, aligning them with the organization’s overarching goals. Engage in the strategic planning process for the organization as a whole, ensuring that operational strategies effectively support the mission.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives across all operational areas, promoting responsible stewardship, implementing efficiency improvements, and exploring avenues for sustainable growth.
  • Drive operational innovation by utilizing technology to enhance efficiency, improve services, and create new revenue opportunities. Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements that could benefit the organization.
  • Actively connect with community leaders, supporters, and partners to build relationships that foster the growth and sustainability of the organization’s social enterprises, enhancing its profile and impact. Develop outreach initiatives to boost community engagement and support.
  • Formulate strategies to expand and enrich the volunteer program, ensuring a rewarding experience for volunteers while maximizing their contributions to the organization’s operations and community outreach.
  • Build a robust leadership team within the Operations Department, providing mentorship, professional development opportunities, and performance feedback to team members. Foster a culture of leadership and professional growth within the organization.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, service, and continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure that all operations adhere to the highest quality standards and comply with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Oversee risk management strategies related to operational aspects of the organization, identifying potential risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring adequate emergency preparedness plans are in place.
  • Monitor the performance of each enterprise through key performance indicators, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet evolving needs and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align operational strategies with the organization’s overall mission and vision.
  • In addition to managing budgets and financial performance, actively seek new revenue generation opportunities beyond existing social enterprises, including exploring new business ventures, partnerships, or fundraising initiatives that align with the organization’s mission.
  • Serve as a member of the Executive and Leadership Teams, contributing to continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Address problems as they arise.
  • Complete additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is required.
  • A master’s degree in business administration, non-profit management, social enterprise, or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
  • A proven track record of successful business management, with a minimum of 7-10 years of senior management experience, particularly within non-profit, social enterprise, or similar sectors.
  • Experience leading diverse teams and managing a wide range of operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Experience in identifying and developing new revenue streams and financial models to support the sustainability and growth of non-profit organizations.
  • Proven history of developing and implementing successful strategic plans.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, convey complex ideas clearly, and engage effectively with a diverse range of audiences.
  • Experience in building strong relationships with community leaders, supporters, and partners, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and develop partnerships that enhance the organization’s impact and resources.
  • A commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
