Compensation: Starting at $32.00/hr, based on experience.
Position Type: Union Position
Pre-employment Requirements: Candidates must successfully complete a physical examination and drug screening.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and guide the crew in the fabrication of production assemblies, ensuring compliance with company and PCI standards.
- Operate various machinery including forklifts, welders, shears, punches, drill presses, and band saws.
- Construct and configure jigs for production processes.
- Execute welding tasks adhering to established quality requirements.
- Interpret basic blueprints and technical drawings.
- Utilize gas/acetylene torches safely and effectively.
- Implement safe working practices and procedures.
- Proven leadership skills, fostering a respectful and dignified work environment.
- Collaborative mindset to efficiently complete projects.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Proficient in English for reading steel orders and blueprints, and effective communication with team members.
- Adaptable to changes aimed at achieving best-in-class standards.
- Authorized forklift operator or willingness to learn (training provided).
- Experience with overhead crane operations (training provided).
- Physical capability to climb and navigate various work surfaces.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent standing, walking, climbing, and kneeling.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Welding certification is preferred.
- Exposure to various environmental elements, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
