Sonoma State University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a part-time lecturer position in the Biology Department. The successful applicant will teach lower division courses in biology, including Biological Inquiry, Introduction to Biology, Medical Microbiology, Human Anatomy, and Human Physiology.
Responsibilities- Teach lecture and lab courses in biology
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet departmental needs
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
- Advanced degree in Biology or a closely related field
- Demonstrated teaching experience in college-level biology courses
- Ph.D. in a biological discipline
- Research experience in a field directly related to the subject matter
Full-time is a 15-unit workload per semester. Salary is commensurate with degree level and experience. The university is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
