The primary objective of this role is to execute the essential responsibilities of a nurse in evaluating, planning, directing, and assessing patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver, prioritize, and administer proficient nursing care tailored to age-specific and developmental needs, utilizing advanced clinical nursing expertise to ensure patient and family comfort and safety.
- Implement physician directives in the provision of nursing services.
- Safeguard patient privacy and maintain confidentiality of medical records at all times.
- Comply with necessary infection control protocols, isolation measures, and aseptic techniques during patient care delivery.
- Collect laboratory specimens and conduct lab tests in alignment with established policies and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate admission, discharge, and transfer processes for patients.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for various diagnostic or therapeutic procedures within the specialty area; assist or perform procedures as required.
- Provide care in accordance with legal, institutional, departmental policies, and established nursing standards as defined by the State Board of Nursing.
- Conduct all assigned Quality Assessment activities and maintain documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings or other mandatory organizational gatherings as necessary.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
- Associate's Degree or Nursing Diploma is required; BSN is preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without any sanctions is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU, or a combination of 2 years in related healthcare roles is required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from recognized organizations are essential; PALS certification is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
