As a Cash Processing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing cash deposits and providing change fulfillment services while ensuring precision and outstanding customer service for all clients. This role emphasizes not only the completion of tasks but also the manner in which they are executed. The position is situated within a cash processing facility, allowing you to concentrate on your responsibilities without the distractions of a traditional branch environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster positive, courteous, and professional communication with colleagues and management through various channels, including in-person interactions, phone calls, written correspondence, and electronic communications.
- Safely operate cash processing machinery and maintain it in optimal condition.
- Accurately and efficiently count and record client deposits using our teller software system.
- Utilize handheld electronic devices for scanning and tracking deposits.
- Prepare orders for currency and coins.
- Ensure precise counting and monitoring of all vault assets.
- Safeguard all negotiable instruments and confidential documents.
- Promptly inform supervisors or managers of any delays, issues, or concerns.
- Maintain a tidy and organized cash processing area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proficiently use a PC, keyboard, barcode scanner, cash processor, coin sorter/counter, calculator, copier, scanner, fax machine, telephone, printer, and other necessary equipment.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to maintain extended periods of standing or sitting.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

- Proficiency in using computers and other cash processing equipment is required.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds independently and participate in team lifts of approximately 50 pounds.
- Demonstrates professionalism, courtesy, and a willingness to assist team members.
- Trustworthiness and integrity are of paramount importance.
