Job Summary:

The Bistro Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests in a fast-paced and dynamic environment at the Courtyard Charleston Historic District. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:
  • Guest Service: Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Prepare and serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Table Management: Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Buffet Management: Prepare and maintain the buffet station, ensuring it is stocked with necessary items and presented in an attractive manner.
  • Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions with precision.
  • Communication: Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
