Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time licensed physical therapist to join our team at Genesis Rehab Therapy. As a physical therapist, you will work in a community-based geriatric healthcare setting, providing physical and occupational therapy to low-income, frail elderly clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Assessment: Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and assess their needs.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques and create fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.
  • Therapy Administration: Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
  • Patient Education: Advise patients on exercise techniques and provide guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Compliant with state regulatory requirements and hold a valid license to practice physical therapy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Compassion and Attention to Detail: Compassionate and attentive to detail, with the ability to solve problems independently.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and excellent analytical and logical thinking skills.
