Job Overview

Tekberry is seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembly Technician to join our team, working on-site with a leading Clean Energy organization. As a W2 employee, you will be eligible for health benefits.

Compensation: $19.25+ per hour

Employment Type: 12-month contract

Shifts: Day & Night, Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 10-hour shifts

Location: Newark, DE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and prepare materials to recover usable products.
  • Execute advanced assembly tasks following detailed specifications and guidelines.
  • Select appropriate materials to complete standard operations.
  • Utilize inspection tools to verify the quality of finished products.
  • Operate various machinery and hand tools to perform assigned duties.
  • Conduct visual inspections for quality assurance.
  • Rotate through different workstations to maximize efficiency and output.
  • Identify and report defects on the assembly line to ensure prompt resolution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools; familiarity with PC-based testing equipment is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities are essential.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination is required.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
