Phlebotomy Specialist

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team. As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and laboratories. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect blood specimens from patients using a variety of techniques, including venipuncture and capillary collection
* Administer oral solutions and medications as required
* Research and verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems and approved tools
* Accurately enter data and maintain accurate records
* Perform all non-patient facing duties, including inventory, stock supplies, and sanitizing
Requirements:
* Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
* Keyboard/data entry experience
* Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred
