RN Clinical Nurse II- Labor Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II- Labor to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our Labor and Delivery unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Provide competent clinical nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to professional standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring a safe and effective transition to postpartum care.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in labor and delivery nursing.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in North Carolina and BCLS certification.
- One year of experience as a registered nurse, preferably in labor and delivery nursing.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
