Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Animal Control Officer at Louisiana SPCA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enforcing laws related to animal welfare, providing support to the community, and promoting the organization's mission.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, and remain calm in high-stress situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws related to animal welfare and safety
  • Provide support and education to the community on animal-related issues
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals
  • Represent the organization at public events and meetings
Requirements
  • Associates degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required
  • At least 2 years' experience in animal care and dealing with the public
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Salary Range

$21.50-$24.75 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
