Role Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse Stroke Coordinator to oversee the clinical management of stroke patients throughout their care journey. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of care provided to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the stroke program's performance improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff involved in stroke care.
  • Coordinate and provide educational activities for both staff and patients.
  • Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission stroke guidelines.
  • Conduct concurrent reviews of stroke patients to assess core measure compliance.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • A current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or a Multi-State Compact License.
  • A minimum of three years of recent clinical experience in an Acute Care Stroke or Neuroscience Unit.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Critical thinking abilities for process improvement and decision-making.
