Role Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse Stroke Coordinator to oversee the clinical management of stroke patients throughout their care journey. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of care provided to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the stroke program's performance improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff involved in stroke care.
- Coordinate and provide educational activities for both staff and patients.
- Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission stroke guidelines.
- Conduct concurrent reviews of stroke patients to assess core measure compliance.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A degree from an accredited nursing program.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- A current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or a Multi-State Compact License.
- A minimum of three years of recent clinical experience in an Acute Care Stroke or Neuroscience Unit.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Critical thinking abilities for process improvement and decision-making.
