Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician IV to join our team at Scientific Research Corporation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for constructing and testing complex engineering components, subunits, and devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Construction: Construct components, subunits, or simple models or adapt standard equipment to meet specific requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions, ensuring that equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Testing and Evaluation: Conduct various tests or experiments, selecting and preparing standard test equipment and recording test data.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract and compile engineering data from field notes, manuals, and lab reports, processing data and identifying errors or inconsistencies.
  • Design Modification and Improvement: Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science, or formal electronics training from a technical school, military school, or four-year electronics apprentice program.
  • Technical Skills: At least five years of experience with a degree or formal training, or seven years of practical experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
  • Problem-Solving and Initiative: Capable of performing assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selecting or adapting standard procedures or equipment, and using fully applicable precedents.
Desired Skills
  • Navy C4I Systems Experience: Experience with Navy C4I systems is highly desired.
