Role Overview: The Registered Nurse will assess assigned patients, develop, implement, and document comprehensive nursing care plans. This position involves assisting physicians during examinations and medical procedures, conducting various patient tests, and administering medications within the registered nurse's scope of practice.
Patient Empowerment: The nurse will promote patient independence by setting care objectives and educating patients and their families on understanding medical conditions, medication regimens, and self-care techniques.
Professional Expectations: This role requires leveraging experience and clinical judgment to achieve care goals, performing a diverse range of tasks, and exercising creativity and autonomy in practice. The Registered Nurse typically reports to a manager or head of Surgical Services.
Qualifications: A minimum of an associate's degree in nursing and a valid registered nurse license is required. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in Surgical Services is essential.

Experience Required:
- 1 - 2 years of recent pre/post-operative room experience preferred.
