Job Overview

At Symphony Technology Solutions, we are seeking a skilled Construction Operations Manager to oversee our low voltage projects in New Haven, Connecticut.

About the Role

  • This is a hands-on position that requires close collaboration with installation and management teams to manage projects onsite.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience supervising construction sites, possess deep technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and comfort speaking to customers are essential, as well as performing installation activities as needed to support the team and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support field teams with installation, implementation, and testing activities.
  • Attend project-specific site coordination meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols, daily reporting, and site-specific project documentation.
  • Conduct ongoing QA/QC activities to guarantee adherence to project and company standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns or issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or proven supervisory experience in the building construction or electrical industry.
  • At least 2 years of management experience on low voltage projects, specifically involving DAS/small cell, emergency responder (ERRCS), and AV systems.
  • Familiarity with commercial and ERRCS iBwave designs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of best practices for coaxial cable installation is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as building codes and regulations.
  • Able to comprehend and implement contract details and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in the construction industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time-management skills to meet deadlines and ensure construction phases are completed on time.
  • The role may require lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing multiple flights of stairs, and considerable walking.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
