We are currently seeking a highly skilled Grant Manager Specialist to join our team at Cameron County. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in financial management and grant administration.

Salary: $80,000.00 per annum

About the Role

The Grant Manager Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of grant funds and programs within the Cameron County Auditor's Office. This includes fiscal oversight of County's federal and state grant awards, ensuring compliance with grant conditions, and processing timely and compliant grant reports and billings.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Grants Division team
  • Fiscal oversight of County's federal and state grant awards
  • Ensure compliance with all administrative and financial responsibilities as set forth in the respective grant conditions
  • Process timely and compliant grant reports and billings
  • Assist in Year End Financial & Single Audit and Schedule of Federal Awards/Schedule of State Awards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field
  • At least 3-5 years of supervisory experience in accounting, audit, and/or preparation of financial statements, preferably with a government entity
  • Good working knowledge of operating procedures and office administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
