Maintenance Apprentice Job Description

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Apprentice to join our team at our Pennsylvania recycling operation. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and offers a competitive starting rate of $15.00-$20.00/hr. with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00am-4:30pm.

As a Maintenance Apprentice, you will assist maintenance technicians in performing their day-to-day tasks, including installing and maintaining electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems on present and new equipment. You will also perform general duties that do not require a specialized technician, such as filter cleaning, daily inspections, and greasing of equipment. Additionally, you will assist maintenance technicians with acquiring parts and tools, load and unload materials from trucks, and complete administrative duties such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and proven general maintenance experience. You will be able to safely operate hand and power tools as well as cleaning equipment, and possess strong problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, and good hand-eye coordination. You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, collaborate effectively with team members, and be open to learning and adapting to new processes and technologies.

Preferred requirements include previous maintenance or education experience, previous manufacturing experience, and previous forklift experience. This role is considered safety-sensitive, and you must have a reliable form of transportation and be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
