The Petersburg Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Adult Day Program, you will be responsible for planning and supervising activities that promote independence, social interaction, and overall well-being for our participants.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized activity plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our participants.
- Collaborate with rehabilitation therapists, home health staff, and other departments to provide therapeutic and recreational activities.
- Plan and execute social meals, potlucks, and other events that foster a sense of community and connection among participants.
- Work closely with LTC staff, activity staff, volunteers, and community members to create a diverse and inclusive program.
- Provide one-on-one interaction and activities for participants who require additional support.
- Maintain accurate records of participant activities and progress.
- Contribute to the development of each participant's activity plan and provide input on progress toward activity goals.
- Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in planning and leading activities for vulnerable populations.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with individuals of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
This position reports directly to the Home Health Manager or designee.
Working ConditionsThis is a full-time position that requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to providing exceptional care and services to our participants.
