Senior Audit Manager Opportunity at KLR

KLR, a leading accounting firm in New England, is seeking a seasoned Senior Audit Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Audit Team, you will be responsible for leading client relationships, directing field work, and supervising associates and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Direct and oversee financial statement audits and accounting engagements, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Supervise and train associates and supervisors, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Review and approve all work before submission to Partners, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Negotiate fees and ensure proper billing to clients, maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a liaison among Partners, clients, and staff, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate expertise in financial services, staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Understand client organizations, procedures, and internal policies, providing tailored solutions and recommendations.
  • Own client relationships and work product, taking pride in delivering exceptional results.
  • Provide clients with guidance and recommendations on achieving their goals, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Work closely with staff, assisting senior management in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.
  • Foster a positive team environment, demonstrating support for management and decisions, and building a strong company culture.
  • Participate in practice development activities, generating new business opportunities and cross-services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Master's degree in related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of technical audit experience in public accounting or related field, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • CPA or equivalent certification required.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements, demonstrating strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology.
