About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Design Engineer to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing hydrostatic pressure testing equipment to support assembly and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex tooling, jigs, fixtures, gauging, and facilities equipment using 3D CAD software.
  • Analyze requirements and design items to carry out desired purposes safely.
  • Investigate manufacturing problems to find root causes using a structured methodology and implement solutions.
  • Mentor tool design co-ops by providing challenging projects and training in Emerson procedures, software, and manufacturing practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office 365, and SharePoint.
  • Verbal and written technical communication skills.
  • CAD skills.
  • Ability to read and analyze engineering drawings and details.
  • Basic Statics and Strengths of Materials Knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Co-op, internship, or professional experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledge and application of functional gauging and measuring instruments.
  • Understanding of material properties and behavior, and stress-strain analysis to supplement FEA via SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process capabilities.
  • SolidWorks and AutoCAD skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with structured methods.
  • Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
